Grove LTC – Covid-19 Update

Dear Members
Believe it or not, we are nearly halfway through the summer of 2020! It was a slow start, but all is not lost as there are still a good few tennis weeks ahead to look forward to.

In order for all of us to get the most out of the Grove in the next few weeks the committee wishes to remind everyone of some rules and regulations, both to retain our ethos and to ensure the safety of all members and their loved ones.

1. Members are urged to respect our STRICTLY WHITES DRESS CODE. This rule applies to tops, shorts, skirts, leggings, socks. etc.   Nothing other than whites( possibly with a minor colour accent) MUST be worn on court.

2.  For your safety TENNIS SHOES  or trainers suitable to grass court play must be worn at all times.  NO OTHER FOOTWEAR will be allowed on court. Any member, Junior or Senior  presenting at the Club to play tennis not adhering to the rules as per points 1 and 2 above, can be refused entry onto court by the Booking Officer on duty as instructed by the committee.

3. For insurance reasons, Parents or Guardians (which includes Minder/Au Pair/Nanny) of Junior Members who are NOT themselves members of the Grove Lawn Tennis Club are NOT permitted on court.  They may supervise their children playing from the side of court but may not join in their hit.

4. Regarding bookings, the person making the booking must provide the names of ALL PERSONS PLAYING (totalling no more than 4).  This applies to parents of Juniors booking for their children also.  When checking in the names must match.  Any last minute changes must be advised to the Booking Officer.
The committee  will  discuss the updated guidelines from Tennis Ireland relating to the latest easing of restrictions, as soon as we receive them,  and revert back to the members on any changes we plan to adopt for our club given our own unique circumstances.

Be sure to check your mails regularly for updates.
In the meantime , please keep on enjoying your tennis and that booking number again:  089 236 129

Have fun and stay safe!
Yours in tennis,

The Committee
